The Canadian Society for Social Development (CSSD) is a federally incorporated nonprofit organization with charitable status. Our services are available online across Canada.

Our mandate is:

to provide employment and skills training to persons facing challenges to employment: persons with living with a disability, youth, stay-at-home parents, older workers, Aboriginal Peoples, and individuals living in rural areas;

and

to conduct research for the development of programs in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership, and distance learning.

CSSD is looking for students...

Who have an interest in becoming self-employed
Who already have basic computer skills
Who find it difficult to work outside their homes
Who are unable to attend regular scheduled training programs in their communities
Who have a desire to learn and strive for their own independence
